The pressure builds into a keening drone of distant violin
The heavy spaces are my kindred and the silence is my twin

I eat the birds that tumble softly through these black inverted skies
The insides of their bodies blooming in serene expulsive sighs
Small and bright as knives
The mouths of the angels that you hear
And swells of swollen size

To the burning salt inside you
